Still to come.....

With my watercolour prints i will be experimenting with laser engraving and I am currently working on my black and white imagery where i will be working both digitally and by hand which is vey exciting, so i will update you with my progress soon......

Exploring Print.....

I then wanted to explore other ways of reinterpreting the intinal imagery, so again i turned to a favourite of mine printmaking. With these particular set of prints i chose to work with open mash water colour printing, and i wanted to work on a much larger scale so i chose A1 paperThese were my outcomes:

I really like the subtle and delicate quality but at the same time how there is still a strong sense of colour and detail on both sets of prints.

Detail: Hand cut sections

Detail: Hand cut areas, sections protruding and receding.

I wanted to work on the A1 paper to exaggerarte the detail of the prints and so that they could almost overwhelm the viewer when set up as a series, i also liked the final shapes of the prints as they didnt stick to the traditional rectangular shape, they looked as if they could grow of the page.

Experiments with drawings......

I then wanted to experiment with other ways of working with my initial drawings and paintings, main idea was to incorporate 3-dimensionality, light and shadows and a new sense of space and these were my outcomes:

Indian Ink Ground with White Tipex mouse on A1 cartridge paper and hand cut sections, incorporating shadows.

Photocopy of watercolour imagery on A3 paper and hand cut areas, sections protruding and receding and introducing shadows.

Photocopy of Indinan ink imagery on A3 paper with hand cut areas, and again incorporating shadows and a sense of space behind the image.

I picked out some of my particularly strong photoraphs that i had taken and began experimenting with diffrent ways of depicting the image, from size, colour and chosen medium. Here are some of my favourites.

Latest Project......

My previous project then led me onto my latest project; again i wanted to explore the surface especially worn surafces, but this time i was focused on natural surfaces and surfaces worn through natures elements, cycles and processes.

I started by visiting different environments and recording these types of surfaces through photography, here is just a small sample of the images.
